The Kiffness’ Dlamini-Zuma parody of national anthem goes viral

Cape Town’s The Kiffness’ version of the national anthem protesting the cigarette ban has taken off across social media.

The act was previously involved in Max Hurrell’s Zol video mashup of Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma’s frank advice about dagga use during the Covid-19 crisis.

But not everyone is happy with it. Some have accused the Kiffness of demeaning the national anthem.

David Scott, the artist behind the song, meanwhile says he expects criticism.
