As many as 14 people were slightly hurt after their taxi overturned on Tuesday along the N12 near the Atlas turn-off in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics found the taxi lying on its side in the fast lane of the highway. Several passengers taxi were found standing next to the roadside barriers – 14 of them had sustained minor injuries.
“Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Sunshine Hospital for further treatment,” said Meiring.
The taxi driver was not hurt in the crash.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
