Strong winds in the City of Tshwane led to mayor power outages throughout the city, causing trees to fall in various parts of its 7 regions.
Tshwane spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said their team were working diligently to speedily address power supply challenges.
“We are prioritising area outages after which individually reported power supply complaints will be attended to,” Mashego said.
Some of the affected areas are Waterkloof, Hatfield, Arcadia, Groenkloof, Muckleneuk, Ashlea Gardens and Gezina.
Mashigo advised customers to repower any other power failures by texting the word “power” followed by an account number to 082 612 0333 or 44676.
Alternatively report a power failure to 012 358 9999 (choose electricity option) or 080 1111 556 or visit www.tshwane.gov.za and follow the Report Power Failure link.
