Station commander attacked and shot at his home in Protea

A station commander was reportedly gunned down at his home in Protea South, Soweto, last night.

eNCA reports that police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters said a police investigation was already under way to determine what led to the shooting.

“Preliminary reports indicate that the Brigadier had just arrived home between 6:30pm and 7pm when he was accosted by unknown suspects who then shot him,” the spokesperson is quoted as saying.

The station commander was reportedly declared dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.
