South Africans engage in a little friendly competition with #MyHeritagevsYours
The hashtag gives locals a chance to show off what they love most about their traditional attire.

South Africans are so excited for the nation’s upcoming public holiday that they just couldn’t wait until Monday to show off their cultural best. Various locals took to social media to share images of themselves, their children and strangers in traditional attire from their respective cultures ahead of Heritage Day.
Originally known as Shaka Day, the annual holiday gives locals the chance to celebrate their culture and the diversity of their beliefs and traditions.
Sadly, not every group got represented but they will hopefully throw a few posts on the hashtag in the next few days.
