Some of the white shirts are ANC branch activists, Malema says

The EFF leader took issue with MPs being treated 'like animals' at last week's Sona.

“Some of those people in white shirts in Parliament are ANC branch activists,” EFF leader Julius Malema said at a press briefing in Johannesburg on Tuesday.

You chase people out for breaking parliamentary rules, but protect a man who has broken his oath of office, Malema charged. He urged South Africans to take a stand.

“Presiding officers are saying protection service officials are receiving medical care, but they will not say anything about MPs who were beaten … they treat us like animals.

“We have taken the matter to court to have Baleka compelled to discipline Zuma,” Malema added.

He said it could not be business as usual, adding they wanted Parliament to institute an impeachment against Zuma.

“We are approaching the Constitutional Court directly, and therefore it will be wrong to have a junior court to second-guess what action has to be taken to be taken against the president.”

The ANC will remember the beatings it suffered in parliament, come 2019, he said.

Malema said the ANC would lose the entire Gauteng in the upcoming general elections. “Let them use Zuma to campaign for 2019, people will remember them for protecting crooks.

“Soldiers were ready to shoot and kill us in parliament, but we still went and said we will fight corruption.”

“Why did they suddenly  have a change of heart about Baleka Mbete….all of a sudden Nkosazana Dlamini -Zuma’s name crops up.

“They want to continue with the corruption pattern of Gupta money,” he said.

Malema said Speaker of Parliament Baleka Mbete was used by President Jacob Zuma who allegedly promised her the position of deputy president which is currently occupied by Cyril Ramaphosa.

“She is disappointed at how Zuma used her. “We will make sure she does not even get benefits when her term of office ends in 2019,” Malema said.
