Expert calls country ‘wounded society’ amid rising violence

Rapper Sho Madjozi found herself trending on Twitter on Monday for two different reasons.
One was the reaction to the reason she gave on the social media platform for why she had waited over eight hours for a delayed international flight at OR Tambo international.
“Business rescue on SAA, my friend. But if you wanna go deeper; it’s because of mass looting of state funds under [former president Jacob Zuma].”
Another was a debate surrounding whether or not her meeting John Cena amounted to an achievement on the same level as Zozibini Tunzi’s Miss Universe victory, the Springboks winning the world cup, and national netball team the Proteas winning the 2019 Africa Netball Cup.

After a Twitter user posted photographs of these three events as well as Sho Madjozi’s meeting John Cena on the Kelly Clarkson show because of her hit song by the same name, numerous Twitter users expressed the view that the rapper’s moment of joy was not a national achievement on the same level as the others.
Some, however, defended the rapper and said her winning a BET award this year and the international success of the song John Cena, rather than just her meeting him, were her national achievements.
The rapper, meanwhile, got a harsh response for her Zuma tweet, with many taking to the platform to express disappointment at her criticism of the former leader. Others, however, thought she was spot-on in her assessment.
“Zuma loyalists, hands off Sho Madjozi,” tweeted one user.

I hope someone close to Sho Madjozi will read this and pull her aside to explain how SAA works and it's history.
Along with explaining what Zuma tried to do at SAA for the benefit of black businesses but sadly failed.
I hope she'll be enlightened & then come back & apologise.

Sho Madjozi is not wrong! At all!
All those expressing "disappointment" at the truth she tweeted must know their disappointment does nothing to her Atleast we know she's not a stomach artist like that goat-bearded dude who'll sing praises for cvnts like Zuma for their next plate!— Vuyo. 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦. (@OhFlipItsVuyo) December 9, 2019

Okay, maybe I’m a bit insensitive to Sho Madjozi’s meet & greet, but can you really put it in the same spectrum?
Yes,she met John Cena…I once met Bonang at Homecoming Picnic ya ko Centurion.
But alas, maybe I don’t know the dynamics of meeting public figures. https://t.co/5JlmhTYxx1

Sho Madjozi meeting John Cena is not the achievement, the achievement was how international her song became

To all these fools that are trolling and insulting @ShoMadjozi, let me remind you that in June 2019 she won Bet award and in October 2019 she met John Cena. You like it or not she's the captain of Limpopo champions league. Nina what did you win? 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂#ShoMadjozi pic.twitter.com/B1CKG1LLoh
