WATCH: Zuma sings ‘Umshini Wami’ with Zululand University choir at daughter’s graduation

The former president's daughter graduated from the university on Thursday.


Former president Jacob Zuma brought the hall down at the University of Zululand on Thursday after singing Umshini Wami with the university’s choir. The former president was there to celebrate his daughter Brumelda’s graduation.

In a video he shared with his followers, the former president said he could not help but join the choir in “jubilation”.

He said: “Today was a special day. My daughter Brumelda graduated from the University of Zululand. I couldn’t help but join the choir in jubilation.”

Brumelda also took to social media to share videos of her special day, and also thanked her father for supporting her.

“Thank you sooo much Dad for the love and support @presjgzuma ngiyabonga Nxamalala,” she said.
