Another video has left South Africans taking to social media in a hunt for a father who repeatedly whipped his teenage daughter.
Though it was unclear when the video was taken, the incident apparently took place in Mtubatuba in KwaZulu-Natal.
In the video, the father can be heard telling his sobbing daughter: “How can you embarrass me when I love you so much? Is this what you want?”
The daughter only calls out “baba!” as she rolls away from her father, who goes after her.
Gauteng education MEC Panyaza Lesufi, who shared the video on social media, said: “Dear minister of @SAPoliceService this is brutality, not discipline. Let’s protect our children. I am told it happened in Mtubatuba, KZN. #ProtectOurChildren.”
