Cardi B would have been better – SA fans react to news of Post Malone concert

The 'White Iverson' hitmaker may find himself performing to a small crowd if public sentiment is anything to go by.

A large number of South African hip-hop fans were left unhappy after Castle Lite announced that this year’s main international act in their series of #CastleLiteUnlocks hip-hop concerts would be Post Malone.

The 24-year-old, who was originally born Austin Richard Post, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer who has gained recognition for blending various musical genres, his introspective songwriting, and his laconic vocal style.

His most popular hit to date, titled White Iverson, made it all the way to number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was later certified quadruple platinum in the United States.

His most recent project is titled Beerbongs & Bentleys.

Check out what South Africans had to say upon hearing that he’d be performing in South Africa in June.

Tickets will be available from tomorrow, April 4 at 12pm on WebTickets.
