Dali Mpofu puts Twitter ‘punks’ in their place

The EFF national chairperson has had enough of fake news.

EFF national chairperson Dali Mpofu recently went on a correcting spree after Twitter users came at him with accusations of wrongdoing attributed to his political party.

The fracas began when Julius Malema posted one of many comments on the recent column on him written by Adriaan Basson.

Mpofu came to Malema’s defence by highlighting what he dubbed “corruption scandals of the clean-up brigade and darlings of the embedded media”.

Twitter user @pietcroucamp did not want Mpofu forgetting his own scandals and went on to ask “Dali Mpofu SABC?” as a continuation of Mpofu’s list, to which he replied: “dream on punk!”

Another Twitter user @dimenthalsulfid continued on Croucamp’s point, further annoying Mpofu by attributing alleged wasteful expenditure at the SABC between 2006 to 2009 to him.

Mpofu countered the graphic, which he called a “false graphic” put on Twitter by “some stupid lying racist,” before another Twitter user claimed that the information was on the EFF website.

It should be noted that the website cited by the Twitter users is economicfreedomfighters.org and it is not the same as the effonline.org website listed on the EFF’s official Twitter account.
