Mbalula says Mahumapelo must take Kim Kardashian to court over trademark battle
The former police minister says the Kardashians should not mess with Mahumapelo.

ANC head of elections Fikile Mbalula shared a light moment – as usual – with his followers on Twitter after reading a report saying the famous family filed an application to trademark names of their children. Kim Kardashian-West, Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner reportedly filed to trademark the names of their children this week for business purposes including a clothing line, toys, and skincare products, TMZ reported.
Kardashian-West and husband Kanye West have two daughters – North and Chicago, and a son, Saint, while Khloé and Kylie each have one daughter – True and Stormi respectively.
Kylie reportedly tried to trademark her first name in 2015, an attempt which failed after Australian singer Kylie Minogue took her to court in 2017.
Now Mbalula warned that Kim might encounter some problems with her attempt to trademark North West as that already belonged to Mahumapelo.
“Cadre Supra must take her to court if she tries!! Silindile nje,” said the former police minister.

While some of his followers got the joke and laughed with him, others, however, warned Mbalula against dividing the ANC with his statement.
“Jola this kind of utterances are dividing the ANC. Khanisimele. Please. You talk of unity yet you guys are busy purging comrades,” said @onkemntonintshi, while @MphozaSA1 said: “Mbaks is Supra Mahumapelo the premier of North West or you are indicating something in the pipeline? Will wait for that announcement. You have leaked it already. Job Mokgoro must start to vacate office.”
However, @_uKwenamaa explained the joke to those who did not understand.
They wrote: “Supra is the premier of North West, well was anyways. Kim Kardashian child is named North West. So if they trademark that name, Supra will be affected. It’s a joke obviously, slow ones can thank me.”
