SA Revenue Services (Sars) customs officials intercepted 1,809 kilogrammes of male sexual enhancement tablets, worth an estimated R20.6 million at the OR Tambo International Airport, in Johannesburg, Sars said on Monday.
“The shipment at the transit sheds contained 80,000 tablets and 126,000 oral jellies wrapped in brown sacks from Bombay, India, to Swaziland,” Sars said.
“These tablets are restricted and controlled substances and must have permits when being imported. The shipment has been handed over to the Medical Council of South Africa for further investigation.”
