Saheti School, Crawford College Sandton tops in exams
The Independent Examinations Board’s top-performing schools in the 2017 matric exams were Saheti School and Crawford College Sandton, each with five students who achieved nine distinctions.

Saheti’s top five were: Panos Hadjipaschalis, Stelios Haji markos, Nicholas Thomadakis, Irene Baladakis and John Statheros.
Crawford College Sandton’s shining stars were: Claire Berzen, Zidan Cassim, Chad Himlock, Erin Liebenberg and Amy van Druten.
Saheti School executive head master Warwick Taylor said: “Saheti’s class of 2017 have not only produced top results, but have also displayed the character and leadership qualities that will allow them to have influence within society.
“I wish them all the best as they proceed in their careers. I thank the teachers and parents who supported, guided and taught them. They have certainly been nurtured along a path of success and, as a community, we are confident that they have the skills to realise their future potential.”
Crawford College Sandton principal Morag Rees said they were celebrating another “exceptional year of oustanding final results”, including a 100% pass rate and a 99% Bachelor degree pass rate.
“We are delighted with the results and congratulate all our matric candidates.”
