President Cyril Ramaphosa is on Monday expected to receive part four of the state capture report from Chief Justice Raymond Zondo.
Part four of the report will detail the capture of Eskom and the Treasury, the closure of the Gupta brothers’ bank accounts and the Free State housing and asbestos scandals.
On Friday, Zondo asked the high court for yet another extension to finalise his report.
The Chief Justice asked for a six-week extension of the deadline to deliver the fifth and final instalment.

Zondo has already been granted six extensions; if granted another, he will have until 15 June 2022 to finalise his report.
“Unfortunately, although we have covered a lot of ground in March and April in terms of further work on Part IV of the report, we have not been able to complete all the remaining topics that must be covered and will not be able to do so by the end of April,” Zondo said in the application on Friday.
Zondo added that it had taken his team five weeks longer than anticipated to complete part four of the report. He said because of this, he needed more time to finish the last part of his report.
Part five of the report will cover the State Security Agency, public broadcaster SABC, the Estina dairy farm project, and guests’ landing at a Gupta family wedding at the Waterkloof air force base.
