Putco, South Africa’s oldest and largest bus company, has partnered with TicketPro to give passengers the power of convenience when buying their bus tickets from over 200 TicketPro outlets retail stores across Soshanguve, Pretoria and Mpumalanga.
All TicketPro outlets are in and around Putco passenger communities, meaning tickets can be bought near homes or work and benefit from longer store trading hours. Credit and debit card facilities are also available in selected outlets, offering convenience, seven days a week.
“We are proud to partner with Putco to offer passengers more choice and convenience. This new ticketing service shows that Putco is committed to offering an improved customer service and experience,” says Werner van Reenen, CEO for South Africa Distribution.
Van Reenen said when commuters buy a ticket, it is important to mention their route code, make sure your ticket is printed in store and that you pay only the price shown on the ticket. He warned that commuters must not buy tickets from the street and said they should protect their tickets from the sun and liquid.
Putco spokesperson, Romeo Moor, said mobile ticket offices along the Soshanguve, Tshwane and Mpumalanga routes will soon be phased out. The Kwaggafontein will close, but commuters can now buy tickets at various stores in the Kwaggafontein shopping centre.
