BLF to picket at Mining Indaba and lay charges against Ramaphosa
The party has a busy day of protests on Thursday, with two picketing events the party to attend.

Black First Land First (BLF) Western Cape will first picket at what they call “the modern day Berlin Conference”, otherwise known as the Mining Indaba.
They said that they would be opposing “the stolen wealth of African people”, which it said the event perpetuated, for wealth to be divided amongst white foreigners.
The statement added that the Mining Indaba picket was also to pledge its solidarity with Xolobeni residents, and other mining communities “which are exploited by white monopoly capital”.

This picket will take place at the Cape Town Convention Centre at 9am.
From there, the BLF in the Western Cape will proceed to lay charges against President Cyril Ramaphosa, ahead of the state of the nation (Sona) address he is due to give today.
The charges are said to be laid at the Cape Town police station, and relate to the R500,000 received by Ramaphosa from Bosasa through his son, Andile.
“This is merely one of the many charges that will be laid,” the statement warned.
“No one is above scrutiny, not even the president of white monopoly capital.”
Charges will be laid at the SAPS station in Buitenkant, Cape Town at 11am.
Outspoken BLF leader Andile Mngxitama was also outside the Specialised Commercial Crime Court in Pretoria in support of Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary, who were arrested on fraud and money laundering charges.
Mngxitama pledged his support for Major One, saying his party “[is] on the side of the truth”. He also said he believed Bushiri was arrested “because black people are abandoning the white establishment churches because there is no spirituality there”.
