Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula has gazetted new regulations coming into effect on Thursday, which will see licence testing stations, vehicle registration and testing centres resume operations from June.
The gazetted amended regulations came as the country prepares to enter into level 3 lockdown, EWN reports.
The regulations state all drivers and learner’s licences, licence discs and temporary permits that expired during the lockdown are valid and extended for three months from 1 June.
This also includes motor trade number licences that expired during the same period are still considered valid and are extended for six months from 20 May.
