Proceedings for a presentation pertaining to the recent Clifton Beach saga had to be postponed earlier today pending the removal of Caroline Knott.
Knott’s removal was demanded by the chairperson of the Environmental Affairs Committee who alleged she was making disrespectful gestures during the presentation of a witness named Seehaam Semaai, who was on Clifton Beach the day the drama unfolded.
Prior to being removed from proceedings, Knott said she had no idea what she did wrong. She then entered into a back-and-forth with the chair while awaiting security’s arrival.
Knott later left on her own after security arrived to remove her.
A DA MP then came to her defence trying to establish why she was removed.
The meeting resumed after she left.
