According to the Cape Argus, the Western Cape’s ANC elections head Ebrahim Rasool explained that “this occupation will allow the people of the Western Cape to tell in their own words what the real situation in the province is for them. Zille can’t speak for our communities. They must tell their own story”.
Rasool also went on to claim that Zille’s addresses often highlighted governance successes which did not positively affect the situation in disadvantaged areas in the province.
