ANC wants to expropriate land without compensation
The 'contentious' issue, as Godongwana explained, was with regards to land reform and expropriation without compensation.

Chair of ANC economic transformation committee Enoch Godongwana has confirmed that the ANC has decided that the NEC should initiate a process towards amending section 25 of the constitution to expropriate land without compensation.
“The report we presented generally affirmed what happened in the policy conference either than one contentious issue. Conference has adopted largely many of those recommendations,” he said.
The “contentious” issue, as Godongwana explained, was with regards to land reform and expropriation without compensation.
“We agree that the NEC will initiate some amendments in the constitution in section 25 of the constitution. For that to happen, for expropriation to happen it must be sustainable,” Godongwana explained.
