Pedestrian hit by train at Wadeville Train Station
Emergency services were initially informed that two trains had collided, but upon arrival they discovered a pedestrian had been struck by a train.

A pedestrian was declared dead on scene after being hit by a train at the Wadeville Train Station on Monday evening, reports the Germiston City News.
Pieter Rudolph, senior district manager of emergency planning for Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS), said they received the call at 6.01pm and immediately dispatched a team from the Wadeville Fire Station.

Information first received by DEMS was that two trains had collided, but upon arrival they discovered that this was not the case and in fact a pedestrian had been struck by a train.
The Elsburg police would conduct further investigation into the matter.
