Pair sought after allegedly kidnapping teen for two days

The South African Police Services are currently investigating a case of kidnapping after a 17-year-old was allegedly held captive for two days, reports Mpumalanga News.

SAPS said that on the day in question, the girl allegedly left home to go and fetch her younger sister but never returned home.

Police spokesperson Sgt Gerald Sedibe said: “The matter was reported to the police wherein a missing person inquiry was then registered and a search instituted through the assistance of the family. The girl was found on Tuesday, 09 October 2018, at Extension 08 in Mhluzi after a thorough search.”

Information at police disposal revealed that the victim was allegedly kidnapped by the suspects who held her captive for two days.

Sedibe confirmed that a case of kidnapping was opened and no one has been arrested as yet.
