A West Rand resident, Ruan Welman, was indignant when he visited Leratong Hospital this afternoon, January 26, Roodepoort Record reports.
Welman and his father were about to leave when they saw a baby, according to him, not older than a year, locked in a luxury German vehicle.
They decided to wait for the driver to confront him. After 30 minutes the driver, a man, returned.

Together with the security guards, they confronted him. His excuse was that children were not allowed in the wards, but the head of the security countered his argument by saying he could have asked the security guards to look after the baby. Welman said he doubted this because visiting hours started only at 3pm.
It is unknown for what period of time the child was left in the vehicle.
