What you need to know about Joost’s memorial service

Here is what you need to know about Joost’s memorial service today.

Arrangements for late Springbok legend Joost van der Westhuizen’s memorial service have been made, reports the Pretoria East Rekord.

It will be held at Loftus Versveld at 12.30pm on Friday, but members of the public were urged to arrive at 10.30am for proceedings to start on time.

According to reports, Joost’s coffin will be present at the memorial service and will be transported to the stadium directly after a private ceremony for the family earlier in the day.

Due to the nature of the event, people will have to make use of parking at the Pretoria Technical High School, Pretoria High School for Girls and the NG Kerk Pretoria East grounds.

Tributes to Joost will be performed by some of his favourite South African artists, and a host of speakers will be present.

The service will be broadcast live from the SuperSport website and televised on SuperSport 1.
