The scheduled motion of no confidence debate in North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo has reportedly been called off.
This after the speaker of the provincial legislature Susan Dantjie postponed the debate following a request from the EFF for the motion to be deferred pending the outcome of an urgent high court application the party lodged to have voting done by way of secret ballot, EWN reports.

The EFF yesterday announced it would head to the North West High Court in Mahikeng to interdict the special sitting of the legislature today.
Dantjie announced last week that the motion of no confidence against Mahumapelo would be done through an open ballot system, but the EFF believes that voting should be done through a secret ballot because some ANC MPLs are said to be against the premier.
