Who is SA’s richest MP? Here’s what parliamentarians declared

It was a rough Sunday for leader of the DA Mmusi Maimane after Sunday Times’ Hogarth wrote a brutally scathing dismissal of his leadership style.
The ‘Mampara of the Week’ article was picked up by numerous social media users, which saw many climbing on the bandwagon to also heap their few cents’ worth of scorn on the DA leader.

Hogarth is Sunday Times’ anonymous satirical staff writer.
His primary bone of contention with Maimane related to his apparent audacity in comparing himself to global icon Nelson Mandela, which Hogarth mocked as him trying to be “Mini-Madiba”, after he was initially called “Mini-Obama”.
Hogarth claimed Maimane had lived his “entire political life trying to be someone other than himself”.
The fact that the DA campaign against Patricia de Lille has also allegedly not been adequately explained also got under Hogarth’s skin.
This tirade opened the floodgates for others, with many agreeing that Maimane has regularly suffered from an identity crisis of some sort.
One person even noticed that he started tweeting about running when President Cyril Ramaphosa started making headlines for walking.

Many also noted that Maimane has allegedly changed his delivery style during speeches. To some he is increasingly behaving with mannerisms that remind them of EFF leader Julius Malema’s approach to public speaking, which led to a few wits adding “Mini-Juju” to the list of scornful monikers.
Why is he talking like @Julius_S_Malema? Even that hand is waved like Juju does 😂 Whatever happened to Obama impersonation? Come on @MmusiMaimane! The least you can do is be yourself, simple as that.

However, some did come to his rescue to praise him as their leader.

And I agree with Mmusi he still has Mandela’s principals & Values. It’s a Party there are many players it’s not a one man show. So I’d say the author is the total mampara of the week.
