Mbalula’s latest hobby: Making fun of Kanye West
The ANC elections head appears to be watching the controversial rapper's every tweet since his recent comments about slavery.
ANC election head and Twitter heavyweight Fikile Mbalula appears to be watching rapper and music producer Kanye West closely after West’s recent statements on slavery.
West, during an interview with TMZ, said: “When you hear about slavery for 400 years … for 400 years? That sounds like a choice, sparking public outrage.”
Mbalula seems to be taken by the controversial rapper.
West tweeted at the weekend that taking a walk outside was therapeutic.
“Take a walk outside. Fresh air is healing.”

Mbalula fired a few shots in return and said: “Next tweet will be: take a breath, oxygen keeps us alive. uTatakaNoProvince is always telling the world the obvious,” a phrase meaning the father to someone named after the North West province was always rehashing the obvious.

West’s daughter’s name happens to be North West.
In another reply, Kanye says Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed. Mbalula’s comeback was: “He also named the other after one of our province[s] in South Africa, could not even send prayers when chaos broke out there.”
The election head has since been sharing posts that appear to have significance to slavery.
