Mbalula opens his mouth and ‘sh*t comes out’

According to poet Ntsiki Mazwai, the minister must just keep quiet because he's just 'a lover of things'.

It seems Minister of Sports and Recreation Fikile Mbalula and poet Ntsiki Mazwai’s beef will never end. The minister recently took to social media to share his thoughts on the Metro FM Awards that took place at the ICC in Durban on Saturday.

After allegations of record label Mabala Noise, owned by ANCYL treasurer Reggie Nkabinde, that it bought awards after all its artists won in the categories they were nominated, the sports minister came to the label’s defence.

Mbalula said people just found an easy victim in Mabala Noise because it was owned by an ANC-aligned person.

Mabala artists are just talented, he said.

“I hate it when people play politics over music industry awards. We ANC we don’t own record labels our members own record labels,” he told his followers.

While some agreed with him, most told him to focus on his ministry and stop talking about things “he knew nothing about”.

Even Mazwai thought Mbalula’s comments were “senseless”.

“First of all Mbalula opens his mouth and shit comes out…..he must just keep quiet,” she said.

Responding to the poet, one user said Mbalula was a great leader who was just “a bit short on manners” and had a “foul mouth”.

Even that is not true, according to Mazwai, who said the sports minister was not a leader.

“He is just a lover of things,” she said.

The minister and Mazwai’s beef goes way back to the time he wanted to bring Beyonce to come and perform during the 2010 World Cup concert. The poet lashed out at Mbalula for not using local talent.

Since then, things have never been even remotely friendly between the two.
