Manyi unveils editors as he drums up support for Afro Worldview

Mfundo Mabalane, best known as the host of ANC Decides, will stay with the channel, but this time as its deputy editor.

The owner of media platforms bought from the Guptas, Mzwanele Manyi, has continued to unveil the rebranded news channel, Afro Worldview, formerly known as ANN7.

This Monday afternoon on Twitter, he introduced to the public Afro Worldview’s editor, Mpho Sithole, and deputy editor, Mfundo Mabalane.

Sithole has more than 10 years’ experience in the broadcast news industry, having worked as a reporter and subeditor for news outlets such as PowerFM, eNCA, Talk Radio 702 and YFM.

Her deputy, Mabalane, has been at ANN7 for a while as the host of talk show ANC Decides. She is also a former radio news editor.

The television news channel came to an end on MultiChoice’s DStv platform on August 30 last year after DStv’s decision not to renew the ANN7 contract.

Manyi also bought the New Age newspaper from the Gupta brothers, and it has been renamed Afro Voice.
