A worker at an eShowe stationery shop in KwaZulu-Natal was injured when she was shot by her boyfriend on Monday, Zululand Observer reports.
He fired three shots and fled the scene in his vehicle, which was later recovered near Eshlazi Dam.
The victim sustained injuries on her right wrist, chest and chin and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspect has not yet been found, and the motive is unknown.
A case of attempted murder was opened at the eShowe police.
