Malema explains why he believes Dlamini-Zuma will lose to Ramaphosa
Malema said he would have wanted the former AU chairperson to win so the EFF would stand a better chance of beating the ANC in 2019.
Julius Malema.
In one tweet, the EFF leader has summarised why he thinks deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa will become the next leader of the ANC at the elective conference this weekend.
According to the outspoken leader, Ramaphosa will win because his opponent is “surrounded by crooks”.
“For those asking for my predictions, I think he will win. I don’t think she’s stand a good chance despite her good struggle credentials, she’s currently surrounded and supported by crooks. All leaders claiming to support her lost their branches, how do you explain that one,” he tweeted.
Malema added Dlamini-Zuma’s backers were not to be trusted, as they were economical with the truth.
Her supporters are extremely dishonest to a point of believing their own propaganda, they lied about branch nominations until they were officially announced then they changed the ball post. The new narrative now is that we have more delegates but they know very well it’s a lie.

Malema’s comments come a day before the conference is set to get under way at Nasrec expo centre in Johannesburg. Six thousand delegates will attend and make their vote, with the results being made known on Sunday and Monday.
