African National Congress secretary-general Ace Magashule will reportedly meet with the ANC’s parliamentary caucus today to brief them on the ongoing discussions on President Jacob Zuma’s future, The Sowetan reports.
According to the report, on Wednesday ANC national spokesperson Pule Mabe said Magashule would also explain to the ruling party’s parliamentarians why the state of the nation address (Sona), which was scheduled for this evening, was postponed.
ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa – who met with Zuma on Tuesday to discuss his exit as the country’s head of state – is also expected to attend the meeting.
ANC chief whip Jackson Mthembu confirmed to The Sowetan the special caucus meeting would go ahead as planned.
