A woman was allegedly robbed of personal items valued at R17 000 by a couple in a taxi in the Alexandra township of Johannesburg, Alex News reports.
Police spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang said police were investigating the case that occurred late afternoon on 24 November in Lenin Drive, Tsutsumani. The victim boarded the taxi driven by the male suspect with the woman as a passenger.

Once inside, the man allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and warned her not to make any noise or he would kill her. The female suspect then took her handbag, searched it and removed her two cellphones, engagement ring and wristwatch. After the robbery, they drove on and dropped her at a park in the same area before driving off.
