The school year started off with a bang at Hoërskool Waterkloof in the east of Pretoria on Wednesday, reports Pretoria East Rekord.
Much to the students’ excitement, the school’s new principal, Chris Denysschen, parachuted out of an aeroplane and landed on the school grounds.
“What better way to start off the new academic year, at Pretoria’s best school, than jumping out of an aeroplane to welcome all learners to this wonderful year?” Denysschen said.

Exciting music, students’ screams, and the clapping of thousands of hands could be heard in the background.
“I am still shaking from this experience, but it is one of the most exciting things I have ever done. What a way to start the new school year!” Denysschen said.
