Two low water bridges that were closed earlier on Thursday due to flooding were opened around mid-morning, Pretoria North Rekord reports.
Tshwane emergency services said the two low-lying bridges in Capital Park and Centurion were closed after heavy overnight rains in the city.

“The bridges were only closed in the early morning. It was a normal flash flood and nothing major happened. Only a few trees fell over,” said Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Johan Pieterse.
A Pretoria north resident, Leofi Leshabana, shared the video he took during the flood on WhatsApp.
“Something needs to be done about that bridge on the Brits Road because every time there is heavy rains or floods it overflows.”
