WATCH: Missing toddler’s distraught mother pleads for her safe return

Missing Siphesihle Dlamini’s parents were called to identify the body of a little girl in Johannesburg last week.

Being called to identify a body at the Witbank Mortuary in Johannesburg opened wounds for South Coast, KwaZulu-Natal, parents who are still searching for their three-year-old daughter, Siphesihle Dlamini, who went missing on New Year’s Eve, Highway Mail reports.

Siphesihle’s distraught mother, Thabisile Dlamini said there is not a day that goes past without her thinking about her daughter.

“Seeing that small body has really set me back and I can still picture her in my mind.”

Thabisile said they were called by Witbank Police last week to identify the body of a little girl as they are still searching for their little girl.

“The body of the baby was at the mortuary for some time so they thought it might be Siphesihle.

“On the way I was panicking and my heart was beating very fast. I am also asthmatic. I kept asking myself what if it is my baby.”

She said although the baby’s face resembled Siphesihle, it was not her as the baby did not have her baby’s birthmark on the upper right arm.

“I really feel sorry for that baby’s parents.”

Speaking to the Highway Mail, Thabisile broke down when she explained the heartache she has been through since her child went missing.

“It is painful not knowing who has my child and if is being well looked after. I pray and plead to anyone who has her or know anything to contact the police. She is the only person I am left with in this world, I need her back. I can’t handle seeing dead babies anymore,” pleaded Thabisile.
