New video footage of this morning’s cash-in-transit heist on Atlas Road in Boksburg has emerged, Kempton Express reports.
In the first and second videos, one can hear shots being fired and a loud bang as one of the vans is blown up. A man armed with an assault rifle stands at the intersection. He then kneels down against the traffic light pole, taking guard.

In the meantime, ER24 has reported that eight people sustained moderate injuries following the cash-in-transit heist.
ER24 paramedics came across the incident just before 10am and found two blown-up cash-in-transit vehicles. Upon further assessment, they found eight people who had sustained moderate injuries. Two of them are believed to be bystanders, said Ineke van Huyssteen, spokesperson for ER24.
ER24, as well as another medical service on the scene, transported the patients to hospital for further medical care.
A forensic team is currently on the scene collecting all the bank notes scattered all over the scene.
Reports indicate that some of the perpetrators had been caught at the George Goch Hostel after a chase on the M2, and that some of the money had been recovered.
