Firefighters have been battling a massive fire at a chemical factory – believed to manufacture resin – in Durban in the Jacobs area on Wednesday morning.
ALS Paramedics confirmed multiple firefighters were dispatched to the scene during the early hours of the morning, and water tankers are being used to extinguish the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and no injuries have been reported. However, residents are urged to avoid the area around Balfour Road.
