The Mpumalanga legislature has confirmed that Tuesday’s state of the province debate will be done over tomorrow, as “during the sitting there was not an acting premier at the time, so during the debate of the state of the province (Sopa) [there] was no premier in the house”.

Malusi Mbatha, the legislature spokesman, confirmed the provincial executive committee only appointed Refilwe Mtsweni on Wednesday, January 28. She is to be sworn in as acting premier again in Pretoria today.
