A list of the top 10 weird and wonderful names has been compiled on City Buzz, and here’s what it looks like, in no particular order:
Not even nearly the worst on the list – Home Affairs has found the late, great king of pop Michael Jackson in South Africa.
Have you got a little Captain in you? With a name like Captain Morgan Ndlovu, this guy has.
The third name on the list is Victor Dont-Worry Sambu.
The fourth is Two-Rand Ndlovu.
The fifth on the list may fill you with pride or pity for this young man whose name is Matric Examsion Phelephe.
There definitely is diversity in the country, as seen with a white gentleman whose ID reads Thoko Promise Magagula.
The next name on the list is Foki Voeltjie Mzizi
The eighth name on the list is Pipinyanya Pampoen Tsotetsi.
Finally, and most alarmingly, the last name on the list is Killmequick Sanderson.
Whether it really is the fault of Home Affairs, or the parents, or the atrocious handwriting of applicants that have caused these identification malfunctions, it certainly does provide the rest of us with a good laugh.
