Roodepoort police arrest 31 suspects

Stop-and-search operations yielded success.


This past weekend, 8 to 10 December, Roodepoort police once again stepped up to clamp down on crime, Roodepoort Record reports.

They arrested 31 suspects aged between 19 and 56 during stop-and-search operations. The suspects were arrested for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), shoplifting, drunk driving, theft, assault (domestic violence), common robbery; possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle, malicious injury to property and rape.

The suspects were charged and detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
