Kempton Park police warn about spike in gate motor theft
The crime trend has escalated since the beginning of December.
People are advised to secure their motor gates with locks.
Sebenza SAPS, based in Edenvale, have alerted members of the community to a recent rise in gate motor theft, Kempton Express reports.
Police said four gate motors have been reported stolen in Cresslawn, Kempton Park, since the beginning of December.

Sebenza SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Sharon Tsotsotso advised residents to secure their gate motors with bars and locks.
“This is a recent trend. In two cases, the gate motors were stolen at night. Others were stolen during the day while the property owners were not at home,” Tsotsotso said.
