To the frustration of the family, supporters and the media, the Marthinus Pelser murder case has been postponed until 2pm today, Roodepoort Rekord reports.
The reason for the postponement is that a state witness – a pathologist – can only testify after 2pm.

Trial Day 5: #PelserTrial: Pelser to finally testify
Yesterday the state prosecutor, Paseka Temeki, issued a warning that he would issue a warrant for her arrest if she did not testify today, after failing to turn up yesterday.
Pelser was also supposed to take the stand today, but it now seems unlikely, since the day’s proceedings will be concluded at 4pm.

Pelser stands accused of having murdered his six-month-old baby in June 2016.
