A municipal employee was brutally gunned down this morning, May 14, in Roosboom, KwaZulu-Natal, Ladysmith Gazette reports.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage, and police are investigating the incident.

It is as yet unknown if the man worked for Alfred Duma or uThukela Municipality.
The man, believed to be around 40, was shot numerous times with an AK-47.
Police and emergency personnel responded to the scene.
The suspects are believed to have fled on foot after the shooting.
The family of the deceased gathered at the scene.
