“After a long seven days, our baby, Thlolo Setwaba has been found.” These were the words of Thlolo’s aunt, Baduletjeng, in a statement released by the family, Polokwane Review reports.
The 15-year-old Capricorn High School student had been missing since Monday, June 17 and a case had been opened at the Seshego Police station.
“She was found yesterday, 23 June 2019 in Zone 8 by three ladies who were very quick to notify us. She is physically in a good state but is very traumatised. We are taking her to the hospital to be checked out,” Baduletjeng said.
On Friday, a Whatsapp message doing the rounds suggested that Thlolo had been found, however, her grandmother said it was untrue.
A neighbour to the Setwaba’s, Charlotte Radise, explained to Review that as a committee member of a local community group, she had shared the information regarding Thlolo on a Whatsapp group.
“On Sunday evening, I received a call from a woman in Zone 8 who asked me to quickly come to her house to help her with something. At first, I was sceptical about it, considering the many bad things we hear about criminal activities happening to women, especially a night, but after she begged me I went and then that’s when we saw Thlolo. We then alerted the police and the family and they came to fetch her. She is okay and unharmed, however, she is not emotionally okay,” said Charlotte.
