A man, believed to be in his 30s, sustained moderate injuries after the vehicle he was in collided with a truck on Houtkop Road in Vereeniging on Thursday morning, Kempton Express reports.
Ineke van Huyssteen, spokesperson for ER24, said when ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene just after 7am, they found a vehicle torn in half.

The driver of the vehicle was still entrapped and the fire department had to extricate him with the jaws of life. Upon further assessment, paramedics found the man to have sustained moderate injuries.
He was transported to hospital by the provincial EMS on scene.
