Provincial commissioner Lt-General Nneke Ledwaba has condemned ongoing domestic-related crimes, especially killings and assaults in areas throughout Limpopo.

This condemnation follows the arrest of a 45-year-old man for allegedly killing his wife and attempting to kill another man during an incident that occurred in the Matobole village, Ga-Maja outside Lebowakgomo, in Limpopo, Bosveld Review reports.

According to police spokesperson, Lt-Col Moatshe Ngoepe, Sana Kgwale, 33, was shot to death by her husband after a domestic dispute at their home, and he later shot another man.

“After the deceased was shot, the suspect wrapped her body in a blanket and hid it in the bathtub before handing himself over to police,” Ngoepe explained.

Preliminary police investigations have revealed that the couple had an argument earlier whereby the suspect accused the deceased of having an extramarital affair with another man.

The injured man was taken to hospital with serious gunshot wounds, and the suspect will appear before the Lebowakgomo Magistrates’ Court soon.

“Communities are once more advised and encouraged to consult with relevant local professionals and authorities when it comes to domestic related situations for intervention, rather than harming or killing each other,” Ngoepe concluded.
