Ziggy Ravuku, from Izigigaba Advertising and Communications, said: “Due to finance we had to send one person to represent the production. We had to rely on the support of friends and family to make this trip possible. We are glad that we didn’t go to Canada for nothing but we actually won something.”

Ravuku also shared the exciting news that Thesha has once again been nominated at the Die Seriale Festival held in Giessen, Germany taking place from June 8 to 10.

Thesha has been nominated in three categories, including the best supporting actress, best cinematography and best web series.

If you haven’t seen the show yet, start from episode 1 here:

Ravuku: “To think that we made this entire series from nothing and now it’s taking us across the world to places we have never dreamed of touching; it’s really a blessing.

“At the moment we are scripting our next project, which is an action adventure film at the Musina bush.”

Ravuku said they hoped local businesses could assist them financially to push their production to the next level.

The 10-episode web series Thesha is based on the story of two best friends, both unsure about their future, who set out to carve their own path by seeking to make it big in the music industry.
