Light aircraft makes emergency landing on major Pretoria North highway
The aircraft was parked on the grass median between the north and southbound lanes of the N1 highway on Wednesday morning.

A light aircraft has made an emergency landing near Hammanskraal, the SAPS confirmed to Pretoria North Rekord.
SAPS spokesperson Sgt Magareth Molane said the plane was forced to make an emergency landing on the N1 highway near Hammanskraal on Wednesday morning.

“It was not immediately clear how many occupants were on board, or whether there were any injuries,” she said.
Motorists shared photographs of the white aircraft, which was parked on the grass median between the north and southbound lanes.

Police were at the scene and closed off one lane.
Metro police could not be reached for comment.
